A Fighting Chance (Muhammad Ali Tribute)

He was known as the greatest.
A fighter like no other and
To us he was a father, a brother,
A lover of life and people.
A teacher of many experiences,
A preacher of knowledge and peace.
He gave us the hope to be and do better.
He gave us a fighting chance.
He gave us sight to see the world differently.
If he could do it, then any one can
Whether it was standing up to the man
or switching up the predestine plan.
He was larger than life itself,
because he always believed in himself.
He was the comeback kid who never hid
or ran away from any challenge.
An icon who won the world over
In and out the ring with his uplifting presence.
He showed that fear had no place here,
Impossible had no place in his dictionary,
And man who has no imagination has no wings.
So, if now is your time to shine,
Take the chance and put on a proud display.
Live everyday as if it were your last day.
And as Ali would always say to all of us,
Don’t count the days, make the day count.
