A Place To Aim For

Is the sky the place to aim for
Or is there something more ?
Should we aim for the stars
or could that be just too far?

Can we reach a higher elevation,
To get closer to the constellations?
Do we climb to the highest peak,
To be able to find what we seek?

We see the little bit of glare,
The question is, how do we get there?
The closer we get, the further it seems,
Reality starts to intertwine with dreams.

It feels like a long distance race,
We are in need of a rocket to space.
We would like to get there soon,
Even if we only get close to the moon.

We’d like to see what’s out there,
To see the world beyond compare.
So, is there one place to aim for
or is there something more ?
