The Journey, Not The Destination
We can go on foot, we can go by car.
We can go by plane, we can sail the sea.
It doesn’t matter how we get there,
Just as long as we’re all together.
There’ll be many stories to tell,
We’ll share some laughs as well.
We might even have to take a detour,
and discover places never seen before.
It’s days like these we’ll remember,
It’s moments like these we’ll treasure.
Where we can talk from beginning to end.
There’ll be no need for us to pretend,
We’ll be among family and friends.
It’s been said that life is a journey.
Well, they never said it’d be this wild
And we still have a long way to go.
From the blazing sun to the winter snow,
From the mountain high to the river flow,
From the city views to the country blues.
Sure, we’ll reach our destination,
But it’s the journey that bonds us,
And it’s the path that shapes us.
There’s always new regions to explore,
And maybe getting lost won’t be so bad.
After all, it’s not like we’re in a rush.
